Intro to 3D Printing
September 26 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
3d Printers are an incredibly cool piece of technology that is becoming more and more available. MakerSpace Charlotte wants to help you get in on the ground floor. During this weekly class, we will learn about the kinds of 3D printers available on the market, how they run, what they can and can’t do, and most importantly, troubleshooting.
We will learn about programs called Slicers which will help your 3d dreams come to life.
At the end of this 2-hour class, you will have all the tools to start 3d printing whatever you can think of.
To ensure the maintenance of our machines, either this class or a proficiency test is mandatory to use the onsite printers.
Class is open to ages 10 and up, though minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. The adult must purchase an additional ticket to attend the class.
Guests are asked to be on time for events.
MakerSpace Charlotte dues-paying members can check their email for a monthly Access Code to unlock member discounts on Eventbrite during checkout.
Because of Mecklenburg County orders, all guests are required to wear a mask over their nose and mouth while indoors at MakerSpace Charlotte as directed by the CDC. Hand sanitizer and bathrooms are available for hand washing during the event.
MakerSpace Charlotte is located in the brick side door, up the ramp. Ring bell for entry.
